
Turfgrass and Water Management Seminar at Hunter Industries
Join us for an insightful and educational day focused on the latest advancements in turfgrass and water management. We’re excited to host Dr. James H. Baird, Turfgrass Specialist from UC Riverside, who will present "Choosing and Managing the New Hybrid Bermudagrass Cultivars," diving into the strengths, maintenance strategies, and disease control of the new bermudagrass cultivars as well as herbicide strategies for conversion from existing to new varieties. Additionally, Matthew Partridge from Stotz Equipment will lead “Beyond the Drop: The Art and Science of Water Management on Sports Fields,” offering expert insights into the importance of water sources and the latest tools for efficient irrigation management on sports fields and golf courses. The day will feature engaging presentations, networking opportunities, and a Hunter Factory Tour for those who RSVP in advance. Join us for a field day at SoCal Sports Complex, one of the premier amateur athletic facilities for soccer, lacrosse, and rugby on the West Coast. Featuring 22 full-size fields on 52.5 acres, this impressive complex will serve as the perfect setting for our field day where you will see demonstrations and visit vendor tables showcasing the latest and greatest products and equipment for 2024. We will tour Tony Gwynn Stadium (baseball), SDSU Softball Stadium, Aztecs Lacrosse Field, Peterson Practice Fields – Synthetic and Natural Grass (Football and Rugby) and the SDSU Sports Deck Field (Soccer and Track & Field). The tour will start at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
